Hey everybody,

 

The day has come. Rough winds is at FLIFF tonight at 8.30p at cinema paradiso. I’ve heard the tickets are selling nicely and we are going to have a pretty packed theater.

 

I’m loving this fest, I’m seeing so many movies, meeting lots of filmmakers and the festival staff couldn’t be nicer. Opening weekend was specially busy. As you can see in the picture Chia and me got to meet

 

Yes guys, I can finally reveal the big mystery, we are having our premiere at the prestigious San Sebastian festival in northern Spain.  I get to walk down the red carpet with Brad Pitt, Quentin Tarantino, Ang Lee... I’m siked and as you can see in the picture Chia is enjoying herself. Being Exec Producer to our small production is starting to pay off, he he.

 

Just in case anybody is going to

The ball is rolling guys. Two great festivals to jump start our success. I still am not able to reveal, on the web, the big Festival we our having our world premier  mid-September ( since they want to announce it first).   I do have bragging rights though. So I emailed FLIIFF’s CEO, Gregory Von Haursh telling him about our accomplishment and asked if he was interested in watching RW. He checked

Great news, Rough Winds has been accepted in a great european festival. They’ve asked me to be discrete until they announce it themselves, but it’s official and I’ll be letting everybody know in a couple of weeks.

After all our sweat and blood, we are proud to announce Rough Winds is finished.

 

It’s been a long road. Writing process started October 2006 and took 9 months to complete. Pre-production started January 08 and we shot during May and June of 08. Post-production started shortly after, finishing everything in April 09.

 

Seems like our adventure is over, but it’s not. We are only half way there.
